Dental insurance is a contract plan through which, if any damage occurs to dental related structures of the mouth, the company pays for the care and repair of it.

There are 2 types of dental insurance plans:

2. Managed care plans - Many patients like managed care plans because these plans have very low costs. Although with these dental insurance programs you need to select your insurance provider out of list of providers, you will not have to pay your dental fees up front.

A few types of managed care plans are
a) Dental Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Insurance Plans
b) Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) Insurance Plans
c) Dental Point of Service (POS) Insurance Plans
